Amazing Bribie Island

Bribie Island, 34 kilometres long and 8 kilometres at its widest, is the smallest and most northerly of three major sand island forming the coastline sheltering the northern part of Moreton Bay, Queensland. The others are Moreton Island and North Stradbroke Island.

Bribie Island is home to an amazing array of wildlife – dolphin, dugong and turtle cruise the calm waters of the Pumicestone Passage with the majestic Glass House Mountains as the backdrop. Over 300 species of birds visit the island each year, roosting in trees along the foreshore and feasting along the sand flats. Kangaroos and Emu may join you for a game of golf and the occasional dingo may be seen along the National Park beaches.
